About FRIAS Family Vineyard
In late 1977, after being swept away by the beauty of Napa Valley, Manny Frias Sr. made good on a promise to himself to one day own land in Napa Valley. Purchasing 100 acres of land in the iconic Spring Mountain District Manny shifted his focus to wine, pursuing an education in viticulture and enology at Napa Valley College. Frias and his family set about planting their first 5 acres in 1985, yielding the first vintage from FRIAS Family Vineyard in 1987. With a passionate pursuit of making the ultimate wine, FRIAS Family has since focused primarily on making varied expressions of incredible, full-bodied and complex Cabernet Sauvignon. In this pursuit, the operation has expanded its acreage, with plantings expanding to 8 additional acres, while the second generation brothers Fernando and Manny Frias Jr. have also stepped up to the helm of the artisanal family winery. We are honored to have Fernando Frias join us on December 12th to share these exquisite wines and to speak to the rich history behind the FRIAS Family Vineyard’s mission to bring the best from Napa to your table!
