A Tour of Italy! 5:00-6:30PM

Tours and tastings at olive oil estates and wineries are a popular part of any trip to Italy. But if like me, you aren’t headed to Italy, it’s okay ~ we are bringing it to YOU! We will not only be pouring stunningly mouthwatering Italian wines, we will also be tasting olive oil from a family-owned property in Bolgheri. Yes, we will have the olive oil and other tasty treats available to take home that night.

Terroir, defined as a “taste of place,”  is the characteristic taste and flavor imparted by the place where a particular food or drink is produced. Often considered in wine, terroir is just as significant in olive oil.

A wine with a “good terroir” is said to be representative of the soil, the climate, and the tradition of the area from which it came; it transmits a story and offers its drinkers an experience with every sip.

Italy, well known for its inability to separate cuisine and culture, is a rockstar of terroir, and while its wines are the most famously representative of their territories they are not the only terroir-laden product. In fact, that additional oh-so-beloved Italian staple — the one that inhabits tiny dipping bowls and pantries of cooks worldwide — is another strong Italian homage to terroir, offering a full experience with every taste. Similar to wine, each bottle of artisanal Italian olive oil comes from a profound tradition and transmits a story of the place where it’s from.

The Fine Print:

– $15 per member – you will be charged upon reservation. Sorry, there are no refunds.

– We will continue limiting the number of members at each event in order to continue delivering the best experience possible. With smaller & more focused groups, our clients are able to gain a deeper understanding of the featured items.

– IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, please call or email us ASAP so that we may offer your space to those awaiting a reservation. Due to an increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we will be implementing a $25/person fee for cancellations under 24 hours. We understand that things come up, we just want to have the opportunity and time to offer the spot to someone else!
