Paso Robles is hot- literally and figuratively- with more than 300 wineries to date, a significant growth from only 20 in 1990. One of those wineries, and arguably one of the most well-known, is DAOU Vineyards.

As young men, brothers Georges and Daniel Daou shared the same dream: to live a life in wine. Their dream prevailed years later when they discovered what would become known as DAOU Mountain, an untapped world-class terroir in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles.

Born in Lebanon yet raised in France, Winemaker Daniel Daou and brother Georges bring unrivaled strength to their estate while offering a high-touch luxury experience that is both personable and noteworthy. Possessing an impressive 212-acres of land at 2,200 feet elevation and only fourteen miles from the ocean, the estate imitates the effortless beauty of Tuscany while the land crafts incomparable excellence to its wine through the flawless intersection of soil and climate.

With well-rounded quality being at the front line of the estate’s priorities, the calcareous-based soils used to farm the land emulates the same soils seen in Bordeaux, while it ripens their grapes to an outstanding level of superiority. This providential confluence of elements produces wines of elegance, immensity and length. Their vision is and always has been to produce California “first growth” wines, establishing themselves in the district as the world’s next benchmark for Bordeaux varietals. As the soil type meets the standard of excellence, it adds a luscious minerality to the wines and allows for dry farming. From crisp bottles of Rosé to powerfully bodied Cabernet, the Daou brothers incorporate their intellect and family heritage into each bottle as they play a vital role in the birth of the next great American wine region.

– We will continue limiting the number of members at each event and offering multiple time slots, in order to continue delivering the best experience possible. With smaller & more focused groups, our clients are able to gain a deeper understanding of the wines and featured wineries.

– IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, please call or email us ASAP so that we may offer your space to those awaiting a reservation. Due to an increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we will be implementing a $25/person fee for cancellations under 24 hours. We understand that things come up, we just want to have the opportunity and time to offer the spot to someone else!
