About the Wines
Jean-Claude Dagueneau Domaine des Berthiers Pouilly-Fumé | Sauvignon Blanc | 2022
Tasting Notes: Deliciously refined with ripe citrus aromas (lime, tangerine) and smoky notes from the silex terroir, with an ideal tense balance. The distinguished acidity of flint balances with black currant, mango, and citron flavors like a tightrope walker on a rope! A lively
noble wine: Le Blanc Fumé de Pouilly.
About Domaine des Berthiers: Domaine des Berthiers is located in the hamlet of Berthiers at the foot of the hill of Saint-Andelain. It benefits from the flint terroir, which is found only in some rare places in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. The Saint-Andelain Cuvée comes from Sauvignon Blanc plots planted throughout the vineyards of the village, which are almost exclusively planted on flint soil.
Massolino Serralunga d’Alba Barolo | Nebbiolo | 2019
Tasting Notes: A variety of sensations, with a full-bodied, classic and well structured wine which ages well and perfectly represents the important character of our land. It is best to decant and serve it at temperatures between 18-20°C (64°-68°F). It achieves its best expression when served with red meats, particularly game, and with dishes dressed with truffle. It is also excellent with fresh egg pasta and meat sauce, and with risotto, as well as medium-mature cow’s milk and goat’s milk cheeses.
About Massolino: Barolo DOCG Classico Massolino represents the synthesis of the different characteristics offered by each terroir. We have always preferred traditional aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, to maintain a purer and more forthright identity. A broad and variable range of aromas, with a surprising expressive evolution over time.
