About Rombauer Vineyards

When Koerner and Joan Rombauer moved their family to Napa Valley in 1972, they were seeking an agricultural community where they could put down roots. Their family-owned winery was officially founded in 1980. Now, with the involvement of the second and third generations, Rombauer Vineyards is still family-owned and committed to those communities almost 50 years later.

From the first bottling of Chardonnay released in 1984, the Rombauer name became synonymous with classic California Chardonnay.  While the Rombauer family could have sat back and enjoyed this position, they clearly recognized that although the core style of their acclaimed wine must not change, there is always room for improvement. As a result, Rombauer Vineyards is constantly examining every step of the winemaking process and investing in the vineyards and winery in order to make better wine.

The Rombauer family and staff take pride in creating joyful moments for their customers across the country and at their Napa Valley and Sierra Foothills tasting rooms. Rombauer owns and sustainably farms over 670 acres of vineyards in Carneros, Atlas Peak, Stags Leap, St. Helena, Calistoga, and the Sierra Foothills. Rombauer’s Chardonnays, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignons, Zinfandels, and Sauvignon Blanc are beloved by wine enthusiasts around the world.

– We will continue limiting the number of members at each event and offering multiple time slots, in order to continue delivering the best experience possible. With smaller & more focused groups, our clients are able to gain a deeper understanding of the wines and featured wineries.

– IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, please call or email us ASAP so that we may offer your space to those awaiting a reservation. Due to an increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we will be implementing a $25/person fee for cancellations under 24 hours. We understand that things come up, we just want to have the opportunity and time to offer the spot to someone else!
