About Truchard Vineyards
Truchard Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. Proprietors Tony and Jo Ann Truchard have managed a successful vineyard and grown exceptional grapes for over 45 years. Through their hard work and devotion to this unique property, they helped pioneer grape growing in the Carneros region of Napa. Since 1973, the Truchard estate has grown to 400 acres, of which 280 acres are planted. (Roughly 80% Sustainably Grown, 20% Organically Grown). In 1989, the Truchards established a winery and began producing wines using only their estate-grown fruit.
The Truchard family has been farming vineyards for over 45 years and plans to carry on their legacy for many generations to come. The health of their soils, the quality of their water, and the overall health of the environment are all essential to their long-term plan of growing a multigenerational family farm. They will continue to farm sustainably and use fish-friendly practices for years to come.
Truchard Vineyards Winemaker: Sal De Ianni
Sal De Ianni serves as Winemaker for Truchard Vineyards. Originally from a suburb of Milwaukee, Sal entered the wine industry through a strange twist of fate—while completing his graduate degree in Analytical Chemistry at Northwestern University, he decided to enroll in wine appreciation classes in order to break away from the complexities of chemistry.
His keen instinct and in-depth knowledge of the vineyard and cellar enable him to show the distinct qualities of the estate. He works closely with the Truchard family to develop exceptional wines year after year.

– We will continue limiting the number of members at each event and offering multiple time slots, in order to continue delivering the best experience possible. With smaller & more focused groups, our clients are able to gain a deeper understanding of the wines and featured wineries.
– IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, please call or email us ASAP so that we may offer your space to those awaiting a reservation. Due to an increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we will be implementing a $25/person fee for cancellations under 24 hours. We understand that things come up, we just want to have the opportunity and time to offer the spot to someone else!
